Aubrey's Pups

Aubrey's pups are seven weeks old as of today. And not only are they gorgeous (no bias here), they are really, really smart. They've been going in and out of the doggie door for over a week. They've been going out with us for the past two weeks when we run errands just so they are comfortable with people of all size, shape and color. They've been on every surface inside our home (towels, newspaper, sheepskin, tile, carpet, concrete, doggie beds, etc.) as well as every surface in our back yard (dirt/mud, gravel/rock, and grass). They bark (a joy starting this early), play fight at two and three o'clock in the morning (another joy) and love to shred the newspaper day and night (more joy). And for the last joy, they give kisses, pull on my beard, and make my eyes feel good when I look at them. Look at the photo. See what I mean?

Aubrey's Pups

The pups are doing very well, but before I tell you just how well, I want to share one more baby picture. I'm a proud dad.

New Puppies

On July 26, 2010, Aubrey gave birth to two lovely puppies - a Blenheim girl at 11.5 oz and a tri-color girl at 9.8 oz. The mom is well, and the puppies are doing very well.

Mayfair News Update July 25, 2010

Okay - I'm embarrased. I haven't posted an update since May3rd. First the sad news: We lost Clare February 25th; she was 15 years and eight months. Only now can I write about it. She was a central part of our family for a long time, and we miss her a lot. NOW on a brighter note, Aubrey, Clare's five year old Grandaughter, is due to have her third litter tomorrow (Monday, July 26, 2010). She has only two, and they may be either girls or boys and either Blenheim or tricolor. I'm excited. Clare' s genes carry on.

Puppies

Our house feels strangely empty - We are currently without puppies. We kept the little tricolor that I said we were keeping, AND we decided to keep the little Blenheim girl. They are now six months old and just beginning their career in the show ring. Also, all of Britty's pups are in their new homes. Look forward to seeing at least one of them in the show ring, soon.

We will be having new puppies in about three months. I can hardly wait.

Britty's Pups 1-25-10

I do want to introduce Ch. Mayfair Britton's (Britty's) three boys. Born on November 30, 2009. This is the first all boy litter we have ever had. They are all healty, happy, and have fabulous coats. They are aready going through the doggie door, and have a strong preference for going potty out of doors. Their energy is endless, especially during a 3 AM play period. Pixie and Sarah are going to be good mothers. They are gentle playmates and love to mother the puppies.

Tennie's puppies - 1/25/10

Tennie's boy, Dash, now lives with his dad, Ch. Mayfair Maxwell (Max) and his family, Emily and Brian Wensel. The two girls, Pixie and Sarah, are living with us. Yea! All three are beautiful, if I say so myself, but judge for yourself. You'll see them in the show ring in the near future.
