Show News

Great News! Our very sweet little Pixie has won nearly everything we've entered her in over the past few months. She's now a national AKC Champion, AND she's more than half way to becoming an AKC Grand Champion. Congrats Pixie.

Our First AKC Grand Champion

I am so pleased to announce Mayfair Cavaliers' first Grand Champion: GCH Mayfair Isadora. From start to finish, it took Isadora only a few months. Many of you might remember her from her puppy pictures published here back in April of this year:

Then there was her beauty photo (See below):

Isadora's Pups

In closing (for today), I've been asked for a better photo of Ch. Mayfair Isadora. So, here she is:

Isadora's Pups

... and be forewarned, our Cavaliers are kissers. When our friend, Joyce, visited, she got a little too close and was adequately rewarded.

Isadora's Pups

The second little boy is every bit as gorgeous as the first. In fact, this litter has been the gentlest and smartest we've ever bred. In addition to using the doggy door at six weeks, they line up and start watching the kitchen at 8 a.m., 12 noon. and 5 p.m. - all mealtimes. How do they know what time it is? And when they play, there is rarely any yelping and never any loss of temper or out-and-out fighting.

Isadora's Pups

My how time flies - the pups are nearing ten weeks old. I wish we were going to have more time with them. They've been the easiest litter ever. They've been going in and out through the doggy door since they were six weeks old. Now they have a strong preference for going potty outside - which means they are about 95% house-trained at ten weeks old!

Isadora's Pups

Well, it's time you had a look at Isadorable's puppies. They're as gorgeous as she is.

Tory's pups

Before we bid fond farewell to the last of Tory's pups, I want to share one memory that really stands out from the hundreds left by that fabulous litter. Gail and Bob were here to visit their pup one last time before they took her to her new home. Looking for a little puppy-love, Gail put her nose up to her pup for a kiss and found that their little girl took her teething really seriously.

Introducing Isadora's Puppies

Well, this weekend the last of Tory's pups will be going to their new homes. But it's not as sad as it might be otherwise. Since we offer to take care of our puppies if their folks go away and can't take them along, we see most of them from time to time.

NOW, we have some very exciting news. We are expecting a new litter within the next week or so. Ch. Mayfair Isadora, who answers only to "Isadorable" is going to have several pups. Since she was bred to a tricolor named Khatibi Eamon High (Murray), Isadorable can have blenheim as well as tricolor pups. As you can see, Izzy (as we sometimes call her behind her back) is a lovely little girl, and Murry is a handsome little dude, so we expect some very lovely puppies. We'll keep you posted. As always, we invite you to visit the puppies whenever you like.

Tory's Pups

As of yesterday, Tory's puppies are nine weeks old. They are one of the loveliest litters we've ever bred. Four of the five have been placed. But we still have a very nice little boy. He's the one on the far left.

Tory's Pups

Tory's puppies are doing very well. Here are a couple of photos (click photo to enlarge) of the whole gang at three days old. The first includes a precocious little boy who has already mastered the ol' eating-on-your-back trick. Now we know it's too soon for collars, but the reason for the colored rick rack visible in the second photo is so we can tell them apart at a glance. They enjoyed a wellness visit to the vet (Dr. Brad Patterson) yesterday, and they were pronounced strong and healthy. As of today, the puppies are six days old, and they are all 14 to 15 ozs.

Tory's Pups

We're really pleased to announce the natural birth of Tory's (Mayfair Torrington's) first litter of puppies on 1/14/11 at 7:05, 8:25, 9:50, 10:25 AM, and 12:32 PM. Their weights ranged from 8.1 to 9.5 ozs., and they're three boys and two girls - all Blenheim. The photo at right is of the first puppy. It's a boy, and he is only about 60 seconds old. Wow.

Aubrey's Pups

Well, I'm really behind in my postings. The last of Aubrey's lovely pups went to its new home in early November 2010. That's the BAD news. The GOOD news is that we still get to see them either for social visits or for longer stays while their new families are away and couldn't take their newest family member with them.

In case you don't know, we make an offer to our puppy buyers: If you can't take your new puppy with you, leave him with us rather than leaving her with a boarding facility. For the puppy, it's like visiting family; he is familiar with our home and all of our residents; she has a great big yard to run and play with others her own age; we take great care of them; we do provide some grooming services (for a very small fee); and we only charge $25 per night.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
